It's June!

So, why am I still wearing my winter jacket?  We went for a walk after dinner and I wore my winter jacket & stocking cap.  I was still cold... well, it didn't help that it was also kind of misty/rainy.  The current temp is 41 degrees.  It also snowed here over the weekend.  Thankfully we were in Portland (with relatively good weather) and we missed it - I am glad because I may have freaked out.  I would have to say that I officially don't like spring weather here.  I am holding out for the amazing summer months.

Moving on to our fun Memorial Day weekend!

First stop, OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science & Industry).  This place is pretty sweet.  We spent the entire day here and Elijah was still sad to have to leave.

Our little climber!   He loved checking things out in the kids play area.

E spent a lot of time in the GIANT sand box area.  It's all good until some kid dumps a bucket of sand on your head.

I wish we had a closer pic of this.... Gavin was just so happy!  :)

When nap time comes around, he just lays down and goes to sleep in the stroller.  It is amazing.

Snuggles with Daddy after waking up from nap.

A giant, flowing water table to make dams, lakes, streams, etc.  E's dream come true.

The second day we took a trip to the zoo.  The zoo is admittedly not Elijah's favorite place, but Gavin absolutely LOVED it.  Elijah's favorite exhibit was the dinosaurs.  :)
Posing by "T-Rex".  G is once again napping in the stroller.

We saw the otter eating his dinner right in front of us.  It was pretty sweet.

Love his little feet dangling out while he naps.  :)

Gavin was really good at finding the animals.  He would point to each one and say "dis" or "dat".  So fun.  :)

I thought Elijah might freak out when the bird landed on him, but he was calm as a cucumber.  The bird even played with his zipper right up by his chin and it was all good!

Hope you all enjoyed the 3 day weekend!  :-)

Happy unofficial start to summer.  :)

  1. I'm so sorry for your endlessly COLD weather. I might shrivel up and die. Hope it gets warm there, soon! Looks like the family had a great weekend trip to Portland!
